TUMBLE
Every lock has a combination. Find it.
TUMBLE is a tactile puzzle game about cracking locks. Each lock is a set of concentric brass rings — drag them to line up their gates and pop the shackle. One gesture, infinite locks... until the gears start fighting back.
What's inside this prototype:
• 14 hand-built locks across a rising ramp — from simple tumblers to gear-driven nightmares
• Gear links — some rings drive others. Learn which way the gears turn, or waste your moves
• Ratchets, decoy gates, twin pins — one-way rings, fake openings, double the trouble
• Move budgets — every lock has a hard move limit. Run out and it resets. Plan, don't flail.
• 4 memory vaults — each lock reveals one combination digit. Every third lock, a vault dares you to dial all three from memory on a real 0–39 combination dial. No peeking.
• A built-in Lab — an attacker bot that brute-forces every lock to verify it's fair (and tells you when a lock is too easy)
Controls: drag rings to rotate · tap a ring for fine nudge controls · drag the vault dial like a real combination lock.
No accounts, no ads, no timers breathing down your neck. Just you versus the lock.
This is a playable prototype — feedback is welcome and actively wanted.
Controls / how to play (itch "Controls" field)
• Drag a ring to rotate it (releases snap to the nearest notch)
• Tap a ring to select it, then use − / + for single-notch nudges
• On vault dials: drag clockwise / counterclockwise like a real combination lock
• One drag of any distance = one move. Watch the move budget.
